WCRC Logo: Denise Uhleman-Armstrong  presented two designs with two typefaces. With a majority vote the group chose the pastel logo with the bold typeface.

Underground Characterization: Mike Wireman, Bob Kirkham, Jim Herron, Glen Miler went underground on June 6, 2001. In the Nelson they found the need to do some hydrology studies, which would include elevations, and watch the water changes over the next year. There is some indication that there is a mine pool and the Nelson Tunnel is intercepting a water body of some kind.

Estimated work plan: Rehab, Survey, make Air door functional. They are optimistic that they can figure out how the Zinc is becoming mobilized.

Funding for the next year was approved.

Commodore flume and Bentonite Nelson Tunnel Adit: Placed Bentonite in the Flume this morning. Glen has Bentonite to fix holes.

They are going to put a riser on the hole. Other work and/or maintenance will wait until the fall. Need to take into consideration why the trash rack failed. Will continue to monitor and fix as necessary.

May High Flow Water Characterization Report: The team is confident that they got good numbers. Study was completed in 2 days. They were able to reach all of the areas that were designated test site.

Historical Characterization Reports: Copies of the report by Eric Twitty were made and are available for those who are interested.

Re-veg plans: June 12 will be the tree planting day. They will meet at Airport Corner, and should bring a lunch.

Miscellaneous: Solomon Wetlands- Administrative order on consent(AOOC) is a possible way to go. Zeke is working on getting the "Good Samaritan Act" to go through a little quicker. The AOOC may work on the Solomon but would be a stretch on the Nelson.

Respectfully Submitted,
